Refugee Week

Refugee Week is a UK-wide programme of arts, cultural and educational events and activities that celebrates the contribution of refugees to the UK and promotes better understanding of why people seek sanctuary.
Music for Change offer a variety of workshops and performances which explore these themes to aid further understanding about refugees in your school or community setting.

In 2012 and 2013, the Best Start Federation of schools in Hackney, London, booked a variety of Music for Change artists to deliver workshops and performances during Refugee Week. Watch the video below to see a group of children drumming with George Fiawoo for their Refugee Party...
